  • Event Participation/Tabling: If you are hosting a large campus event, such as Family Weekend, the RA Fair, the Graduate School Orientation, or the Week of Welcome, you can request that one or two of our staff members be present at the event to greet students and families, describe our services, and answer questions.

If you would like to request any of the above services, please fill out the form below and allow at least two weeks for us to plan and fulfill your request.

Please note that we typically do not offer workshops for individual RAs, residence halls, or small student organizations. But your residents or students are welcome to come as a group to any workshops in our regular semester workshop series (these are open to the entire campus community). For more information on our regular semester workshop series, go to https://learningcenter.unc.edu/register-for-classes.

Also please note that students cannot be required to visit the Writing and Learning Centers or offered extra credit or deadline extensions for doing so; if you would like more information about this policy, please contact Writing Center Senior English Language Specialist, Gigi Taylor at vgtaylor@unc.edu or 962-0725. Please see our Faculty FAQ for ways to encourage your students to use our services.
